The Acuvue brand of contact lenses are manufactured by Johnson & Johnson. Acuvue has patented the HYDRACLEAR technology which uses an embedded silicon wetting agent to keep the lenses moist. The 1-DAY Acuvue has an extra moist version named 1-DAY ACUVUE MOIST that uses LACREON technology. Similar to HYDRACLEAR, LACREON uses the embedding of a wetting agent. By adding a moist cushion, which is similar to tear drops, friction is eliminated and the lenses stay very wet.
All Acuvue lenses have a slight blue tint to help make them visible when they are in their case. A 1-2-3 mark on each lens make them very simple to insert. Contact wearers appreciate the ease of handling.
